ELA & MTSS Coordinator38

East Greenbush Central School District is accepting applications for a 1.0 Probationary Tenure Track Teacher on Special Assignment as the ELA & MTSS Coordinator. 

K-12 ELA & MTSS Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the District’s ELA curriculum
  • Work with the ELA Department Chair, 6-8 ELA Grade Level Content Coordinator, and the K-5 ELA Grade Level Content Coordinator to ensure the district’s ELA curriculum has vertical and horizontal alignment
  • Work with teachers to align curriculum with NYS standards and assessments
  • Provide assistance to all teachers in the acquisition of instructional and curricular supplies and equipment
  • Stay current with regard to SED and professional organization changes, updates, mandates, etc.
  • Assists in the collection of accurate and applicable school and student data
  • Lead the development and implementation of the district’s MTSS plan
  • Assist the AIS/intervention team to develop entrance and exit criteria for each tier of intervention
  • Attend data team meetings with building principal, classroom teachers, AIS providers, school psychologists, and other related service providers within a given building within the parameters of the school day
  • Visit classrooms regularly to provide modeling and coaching
  • Lead district supported professional development and other activities
  • Chair and/or attend regular meetings with the Assistant Superintendent, Building Principals, Department Chairs and Content Coordinators, as directed by the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction
  • Collaborate with administration, school counselors, and social work department to design and implement the social emotional RTI triangle- to include age appropriate social/emotional and behavioral interventions at each tier
